Course Aim

To comply with current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations all organisations must carry out a First Aid Needs Assessment as part of their duty of care. That assessment will require First Aiders at Work to be appointed. To help fulfil that need this 3 day course will provide your First Aiders with all the First Aid Knowledge required to help keep your staff safe. All delegates attending receive certificates to show that they are qualified First Aiders in the Workplace. The qualification lasts for three years.

Objective

By the end of the course participants will be able to administer first aid to a casualty with: injuries to bones, muscles and joints including suspected spinal injuries; chest injuries; burns and scalds; anaphylactic shock; eye injuries and sudden poisoning. They will also be trained to recognize people with major illnesses including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma and diabetes.

Who should attend

Any person who, through a First Aid Needs Assessment is to be designated as a First Aider at Work.

As a result of successful completion of the training programme, delegates will receive certification from Qualsafe. Awards
