First Aid at Work Refresher
Aim
An annual First Aid refresher course designed to enable the delegate to renew and update the necessary skills to meet HSE recommendations.
Objective
By the end of the course delegates will have refreshed their skills to provide emergency first aid at work, recognise the presence of major illness and provide appropriate first aid including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma and diabetes. Administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to chest, eye, bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries. Burns scalds sudden poisoning and anaphylactic shock.

This course is for employees who require their annual update of their First Aid qualification.

Primary Survey
Introduction to DRABC
CPR
The Unresponsive Casualty who is not Breathing Normally
Unconscious Casualty
Recovery position
Manage a Casualty in Seizure
External Bleeding and Shock
Treatment of bleeding and the casualty in shock
As a result of successful completion of the training programme, delegates will receive certification from Qualsafe. Awards
