Course Detail

PASMA (Prefabricated Aluminum Suppliers & Manufactures Association), provides a recognised standard for safe use of Aluminum Towers. The PASMA Towers for users course is designed to instruct up to a maximum of 12 delegates at a time, and is aimed at anyone that assembles, alters, dismantles, moves, inspects and most importantly uses Alloy or Fibreglass Mobile Access Towers in the workplace. This not only includes construction sites but all workplaces, such as schools, offices and factories.

On completion of the course, successful course members will be able to: Safely assemble, dismantle, relocate and alter a mobile access tower without risk of personal injury to the delegate or others

A PASMA Photo Card and Certificate will be issued to successful delegates who complete the theory and practical sessions. Valid for five years


Course Content

  • Theory Session – Legislation, Regulations and Guidance affecting working at height with mobile access towers, PASMA Code of Practice; Product Standards EN 1004:2004, assembling, altering and dismantling towers incorporating current best practice for fall protection, inspection of completed mobile access towers and completion of Tower Inspection Records; hazards affecting the use of mobile access towers and how to avoid. A DVD is shown as part of this theory session.

 

  • Practical Session – Assemble & dismantle the tower. Using the recommended assembly method 3T or AGR. Move the tow. Follow the current instruction manual. Inspect the tower
