Keep 8mm clear zone around all edges for important text and images.

CROP MARKS (don't need Bleed marks!) will only be required with 3mm BLEED on all edges.

WHEN TO USE AN NCR BOOK over a SET or PAD

Shake the tree and ask your customer HOW the NCR product will be used? If it will be used by their van or lorry drivers out on the road, then NCR BOOKS are your only option due to their robustness. NCR Pads will not take the abuse of being thrown around a footwell or lorry cab and will fall apart.

NCR Sets / NCR Pads – Office desk Environment only.

NCR Books – Out on the road, or when a more robust product is required, or when they’re taking an NCR Set directly out of a box one at a time.

FORGET EXTRA PRINTING PLATES — USE A “LEGEND”

Legend

Some customers will request that their copy sheets have slightly different artwork on.

Please don’t!

Instead we would advise that you use a 'Legend' on each sheet indicating who gets what copy etc.

As there are then no plate changes required, that single line of text (a “Legend”) at the bottom of all the pages achieves the same goal.

Plate changes by sheet take longer to process and are more expensive to produce and only capable via Litho 1/0 options — the ‘Legend’ is an excellent and efficient way of overcoming this and saving your client money!

SEQUENTIAL DIGITAL NUMBERING OPTION

Usually created as 5 digits (up to 7 digits max.) as 00001 etc.; do NOT put the numbering on the actual PDF artwork (otherwise it'll print on the job) but leave space (12mm tall x 30mm wide) describe its location in the box below.

However you can start the sequential numbering wherever you like e.g. 01001-01500 etc.

Digital Numbering size is usually 14pt Arial and Black ink as our default.

We can alter the size and colour as it's digital numbering (e.g. 10pt in Red ink) on request.

SEQUENTIAL NUMBERING POSITION

Sequential Numbering Position on NCR Sets

You need to describe the position such as "Top Right beside Service Report", "Top Left beside Letter A", "Centre Top under Address".

DON'T include numbering on your actual PDF artwork otherwise it'll print on the job.

We need minimum 12mm tall x 30mm wide of free space on your artwork for the sequential numbering area.

DRILL HOLES OPTION

2 Drill Holes are based on standard 80mm centre-to-centre ring binders, whether it's for 2-hole or 4-hole variants.

We use 5mm dual Drill bits.

SIZE 2-hole Drill 4-hole Drill Edge
