This rest head has protective toes fitted onto the bottom, which protect the cloth when in use. 

If converting an old or spare cue, you may have to remove the tip and ferrule to allow the rest head to screw onto the wooden shaft. These standard-size heads will also fit onto the majority of cue rest shafts.
