Me, Mum & The Patriarchy is a witty one woman show that looks at the choices we make and explores whether women really can have it all.
This one woman performance portrays three generations of Northern women in a moving, hilarious and poignant journey.
Keeley Lane- Writer & Performer
Keeley is a Yorkshire born actress and has an MA in Acting from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Her recent roles include Charlotte Bronte in ‘Jane Hair’ and Kate Granger in ‘Hello My Name is...’ She is the Co-Artistic Director of Buglight Theatre and a freelance producer. This is Keeley’s debut as a writer. She developed the play as part of her creative project at Mountview using Elaine Aston’s, Feminist theatre Practice to create it. The work has been accepted in to the Maiden Speech Festival in London later this year.
Samantha Robinson- Director
Samantha is a director and actress originally from Skelmersdale. Her recent directing credits include South Kentish Town at The Union and The Toad In The Hole at Barons Court Theatre. Further directing credits include 4.48 Psychosis, The Pleasance Theatre. Fury, Playing With Grown Ups, Pool (no water), and The Shape Of Things - The Drayton Arms Theatre. Bull, Love and Money, Unprotected and Eight at The Bhavan. She is better known for her recent role as Michelle in the Out of Joint Production of Rita, Sue & Bob Too.
