Better Brew India Pale Ale  home brewing beer was explicitly developed to cope with the long journey by boat from England to India. 

India Pale Ale contains both more hops and alcohol, which work as a preservative and is a popular beer style known for its strong hop flavours and aromas. 

Better Brew IPA beer is the perfect drink to enjoy in your back garden as well as on the boat to India.

For 40 pints you will need approx 45 x 500ml beer bottles or 30 x 750ml beer bottles

Equipment Needed :You will require basic brewing equipment to make a beer kit

Here is a simple starter kit to allow you to make the beer if you have not already got brewing equipment

Below is a list of the essential equipment needed to make a beer kit

Fermenting Bin 25 ltrs + - To ferment the beer in

Pressure Barrel or Pet Bottles, two packs enough for 5 gallons of beer - To Store and condition the beer ready for drinking

Syphon Equipment - To aid in moving the beer from the fermenter to the barrel or bottles

Hydrometer - Used To Measure the gravity of the beer when it starts and finishes

LCD Thermometer - Sticks on the fermenting bin to help you get the right brewing temperature 16oC - 24oC is best for beer

Steriliser: Not equipment, but keeping all equipment clean and sterilised when used is essential.

Water: Beer is made from 95% water. Tap water will be fine; filtering is better to remove the chlorine will help give you the best result.
