This French yeast was chosen by INRA at Narbonne to compliment the characteristics of the grapes used for the production of red Bordeaux (Claret) wines.
Described as an "aromatic" yeast, which develops a pleasant and lasting aroma.
Muntons GV8 Gervin Wine Yeast produces minimal frothing and creates a good production of glycerol.
It ferments easily over the temperature ranges of 18 - 30°C.
It will manage up to 50ppm of sulphur dioxide.
