Mount Hood hop pellets are the preferred ingredient for homebrewed pilsners, lagers, bocks, alts and wheat
It has an aroma hop variety with similarities to the German Hallertau and Hersbrucker varieties.
Released in the US in 1989.
Development: Mount Hood is the Triploid seedling of Gr. Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, and the half sister to Ultra, Liberty and Crystal.

Mt. Hood Hops provide the much-appreciated honey/floral aroma found in German and American Ales and Wheat Beers.
If used as an aroma hop, look to add this hop towards the end of your boil.
The Mt. Hood Hop shares lineage with several other hops including Ultra, Liberty and Crystal but it owes it parentage to German Hallertauer Mittelfrüh hops.
