As the name would suggest, this malt is approved to brew the famously sweet, rich beers associated with Munich.

In small quantities, it can, however, be used to enhance the maltiness in other beer styles.
Many Belgian ales embrace this malt, and even some of the more enterprising British breweries are trying it out with good results
Munich malt produces dark, aromatic and flavourful worts, and can be used in all varieties of lagers and ales to enhance the maltiness of the brew.

Colour 15 - 25 EBC; Maximum percentage 100% (although rarely used at over 80%)
