Solomon Grundy was the original 7 Day Wine Kit in the UK - Begin the kit on a Monday, it will be finished by Friday and cleared, ready to drink by Sunday - hence Solomon Grundy.

Kits contain fruit juice, yeast, finings, stabiliser and wine flavouring add-back, where appropriate. 

Solomon Grundy introduces addbacks into the finished wine - this improves taste & bouquet.

Strawberry 1 Gallon  Solomon Grundy Fruit Wine requires only brewing sugar and water to be added.

With the addition of 600g of brewing sugar, it will produce a wine of 10.5% ABV, and with 770g of brewing sugar, 12.5% ABV.

These brewing kits can ferment between extremes of 7-35C, but Brew Mart recommend staying between 15 – 30 C to try to avoid extended fermentation at very low temps, or indeed stuck fermentations at higher ABVs at the warmer end of the temperature range.

It is also useful to know that this strain is alcohol tolerant up to 18 % ABV, but this tolerance will be minimized at higher fermentation temperatures.

These kits are designed to produce country style wines which are sweeter than the Table, Gold and Platinum varieties of the same name.

They are available in Apricot, Bilberry, Cherry, Elderberry Elderflower, Peach and Strawberry flavours, all of which produce 1 gallon of excellent wine (6 by 75cl bottles) in just 7 days which will continue to improve if left longer.
