Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

Course Details

 As a result of the new Health and Safety First Aid at Work Regulations this 6 hour course is designed to equip delegates with the necessary First Aid skills for low risk areas, supplementing the existing First Aid at Work provision. This qualification is valid for 3 years.

By the end of this course delegates will be able to understand the duties of a First Aider in the workplace and understand the requirements of a First Aid Kit and perform life saving techniques.

Who Should Attend

Anyone who is to be designated as a First Aider at Work following a company’s risk assessment.

• Responsibilities and Reporting
• Basic Hygiene in First Aid
• Assessment of the Situation
• Dealing with an Unresponsive Casualty
• Resuscitation
• Heart Attacks and Angina
• Choking
• Bleeding Control
• Shock and Minor Injuries
• Seizures

As a result of successful completion of the training programme, delegates will receive certification from Qualsafe. Awards
