Aim

The course is suitable for anyone whose job involves either directly or indirectly the handling of cargo. It may be taken as a refresher course for experienced operatives, or it may be taken as a basic induction course for new operatives, or those who are thinking of working as a cargo handler.

Understanding of the course material is evaluated by means of a multiple choice assessment and hazard spotting exercises.

 

Assessment is by written and practical tests included in the day's training. Upon successful completion an IOSH Cargo Handling in Ports certificate will be issued.
