Racer Direct Clip Adaptor : Lifestyle High Definition Lenses - Clear

This prescription lens package will be fitted into your chosen eyewear and quality control checked by Eyekit prior to dispatch to ensure the quality and accuracy of your prescription. It comprises the following as summarised in the title:

Direct Clip Adaptor - This prescription direct clip adaptor has been designed to match your selection. (Please note that the image above is only representative). The clip will directly fit into the front of the frame of your chosen glasses or sunglasses similar to direct fitting lenses exept they are removable. They are designed for complex lens shapes such as found in semi-rimmed frames where a direct fitting lens would other wise not be possible. They also offer the versatility of interchangeable clear or tinted prescription lenses with non-prescription lenses in the same frame, making them ideal for contact lens wearers.

Lifestyle Lenses – These lenses are made from high quality CR39 resin which is the most common optical material for prescription glasses today. They provide very little distortion and are lighter and thinner than glass making them comfortable to wear. They are not recommended for impact sports as they can break.  

High Definition - These are high definition (HD) lenses which use the latest free-form technology. They use a digital design process that gives lens designers the ability to reduce lens aberrations even more than they can using conventional lens design and processing techniques with the Performance option. Lighter and thinner than standard lenses they provide exceptional night/low light vision reducing glare and halo effects from car headlights. They also offer exceptional contrast perception sharpening vision and improved colour rendition providing brighter and more intense colours. This is particularly important for varifocals and highly curved lenses as it ensures they provide the best vision across the whole curvature of the lens avoiding optical distortions that can occur in the periphery area of vision. Recommended if your prescription is over 2 spheres.

Clear - These lenses include our 'Clear' coatings. In addition to the hard coating that we include on all our lenses, it includes an additional anti-reflective coating which prevents those annoying reflections on the inside of the lens, eliminating interference glare and ghost images, reducing eye strain.

• Lens Make - Sportor HD. Designed for base 8 wrap frames, they will maintain optical clarity across the increased curvature of the lens.
• Index - 1.5.
• Abbe - 58.
• Density - 1.3g/cm cubed.
• UV Protection - 350nm.
• Scratch Resistant Coating - Hard coating on both sides protects the lens from abrasion.
• Prescription Range: + 2.00 to - 2.00 Spheres with opposite Cyls to 6.00.

• Tint options - Grey, Brown, Green, Pink, Blue, Orange and Yellow. All tint options include an additional UV400 coating for 100% UV protection.
• Light Transmission (LTF) categories - Cat 0 (Clear), Cat 1 (LTF of 60%), Cat 2 (LTF of 30%), Cat 3 (LTF of 15%), Cat 4 (LTF of 5%). If you have a specific LTF requirement within this range, please state when completing your prescription details.
• Mirror options - Gunmetal, Blue Mirror, Green Mirror, Copper, Silver, Gold.
