Starter kits containing all the essential equipment you need to produce up to 40 pints of beer, wine or cider.

Each home brew starter kit usually contains this equipment

1. A 22L fermenter, for you to use to brew your beer, wine, cider or spirit.
2. Fermenter lid with hole and grommet
3. Cleaner/steriliser essential when home brewing to keep all the equipment clean
4. Hydrometer to measure the density of your brew
5. An airlock to keep the air out and indicates the progress of the fermentation.
6. A thermometer to keep a check on the temperature of your brew
7. A syphon to syphon your brew into a new container, e.g. barrel or bottles.
8. A long-handled spoon or paddle

The only thing you have to think about is which wine, beer or cider kit to choose from Brew Mart's vast stock.

Most standard beer, wine and cider kits require a kilo of sugar in fermentation.

However, an increasing number of brewing kits provide more malt, reducing the need for extra sugar.

However, brewing sugar or carbonation drops are necessary for the secondary fermentation, which all beer and lager kits require to get a lively, gassed drink and a frothy head.
