About the Brand Dartington Crystal

Located in rural North Devon, Dartington have been designing and hand-crafting crystal and glass to the highest standards since 1967. Dartington is hand-made using traditional craft techniques. This means that no two items will ever be exactly alike, and tiny bubbles and small marks are sometimes a feature of their unique creation.

Care and Use

Every piece of Dartington is created to be used and enjoyed. To ensure your collection keeps its good looks Dartington recommend the following: -

Always

• Wash before using for the first time. If hand washing use warm soapy water and a soft cloth.
• Dry with a soft cloth holding glasses by the bowl.
• Change liquid content and wash vases and decanters regularly to prevent staining.
• If staining does occur, remove with vinegar on a soft cloth, or soak in a solution of vinegar and water (50/50). Decanter cleaning pellets or a mild abrasive such as rice can be used inside containers.
• Stand or store stemware right side up to avoid damage to the rims.
• Use wooden spoons with serving bowls to avoid chipping.
• Some Dartington can be used with care in the dishwasher. Use a low temperature or glass washing cycle.

Never

• Expose crystal or glass to rapid temperature changes, i.e. very hot oven or cold water.
• Use crystal or Glass products in a microwave, conventional oven or freezer.
• Allow a naked flame to come into contact with the crystal or glass or leave a burning candle unattended.
• Never stack one glass inside another.
